Holistic Vet Clinics at Dragonfly
Who is your Holistic Vet?
Our vet partner, Katja Londa from Pets Relaxed, is a a fully qualified veterinary surgeon practising integrated veterinary medicine by combining her knowledge of conventional medicine, with that of various complementary approaches. These include herbal medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture and species-appropriate feeding.
What is a Holistic Consultation?
Katja will look at your dog’s overall health – not just a few symptoms - and prescribe a herbal tincture or supplement where necessary. She is also able to offer acupuncture and laser therapy in the clinic. Often clients will come to us when they have exhausted other avenues or don't feel that conventional medication is the right thing for them.
Is it suitable for my dog?
A Holistic Consultation is suitable for all chronic diseases - arthritis, chronic skin disease, chronic bowel disease, chronic liver or kidney disease, chronic pancreatitis, senile behaviour, and all those ‘I wish there was more’ situations, where your pet just isn’t quite right.
What will happen in the session?
Katja will review any previous clinical notes from your vet clinic, take any history from a holistic perspective, a thorough examination of your dog and a strategy on how to proceed forwards.
Will my insurance cover the costs?
Many insurance companies will cover the costs of various holistic consultations and tests but do check with yours before proceeding. Pets Relaxed is registered to deal with most major insurers.
Can I be registered with more than one vet?
Yes, absolutely! Many people are registered with more than one vet. What’s important is openness. It’s crucial that all involved vets share the relevant information about your pet: medications that have been prescribed, blood tests that have been done and any other important findings. This way we can ensure that nothing important is missed.
How do I book?
You need to book the consultation via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 01457 337688. You MUST book the appointment a few days in advance at least, to give Katja time to contact your vet clinic for the pet’s clinical history. Dragonfly Products are unable to take direct bookings at this time.
