Yak chew microwave trick

When your dog only has 2cm or so left of our Yak Bar dog chew, pop it in your microwave for 30 seconds.  The piece will puff up just like popcorn.  This helps reduce the risk your dog gulping down the last morsel of their yak bar whole.

Always supervise your dog when eating any kind or treat or chew.  Ensure that your dog has access to clean, fresh water.

Frequently Asked Questions About Yak Bar for Dogs

What are Yak Bars for dogs?

A Yak Bar is a natural dog chew made from cow milk. They are a tough, durable dog chew which makes yak bars a popular choice for dog owners. They have an tough, hard texture which makes them an extremely long lasting treat. When dogs chew on a yak bar, they gradually soften and small morsels come off which makes them a natural dog chew that lasts and retains your dog's interest. Yak Bars are made using traditional methods by combining cow milk with a small amount of lime juice and salt. This creates a 'cheese' which is hardened and dried over 28 days. The hard blocks are then cut to size and can be given as a healthy dog chew in the shape of a yak bar. Traditionally yak bars were made with skimmed yak milk but nowadays, suppliers often use cow milk which is more readily available.
